Ascend’s Reservations feature allows you to manage your rental fleet, rates, and customer reservations (including their transaction with all applicable rental charges) right from within the retail management system you know and love!

1. Create Inventory Adjustment Types
   1. Rental: This should be in your database by default. Use this IA type for items that are being rented.
   2. Rental Maintenance: Use this IA type for products that are needed to fix, maintain, etc. your rental fleet.

2. Create rental Rate programs
   1. Create Rate Program.
   2. Add Rates.
3. Create rental Collections, Products, and Items
   1. Create Collection and assign Rate Programs.
   2. Add Rental Products.
      1. Add manually.
      2. Import from spreadsheet. Article: Import a large number of Rental PRODUCTS into Ascend 
   1. Add Rental Items.
      1. Add manually.
      2. Import from spreadsheet. Article: Import a large number of Rental ITEMS into Ascend 
4. Enter customers’ Reservations. Article: Schedule a Reservation 
   1. Reserve products.
   2. (optional) Process customer’s deposit.
   3. Check out products when the customer leaves with them.
   4. Check in products when the customer returns.
   5. Process the customer’s final payment.
