Exciting news with this Givex direct integration, you do not need to know or enter the exact amount on the Gift Card when using it as payment!
Note: With Givex direct integration you will be required to enter the CODE/PIN (from the back of the of the gift card) only when REDEEMING a gift card. Not sure where to find the CODE/PIN on the gift card? Scroll down to see a few screenshots.
- Create a new Sale, attach the customer and items the customer is purchasing.
- Select Gift Card from the payment toolbar.
- Enter the Gift Card number in the Gift Number field. This can be done by manually keying in the number or scanning the barcode on the back of the card.
- Click into the CODE field and enter the CODE (PIN from the back of the Gift Card).
- Click Process.
- Note: If the balance of the card is less than the transaction balance, it will deduct the available balance from the Gift Card and display the remaining transaction balance in the sales screen allowing the user to complete the transaction using another form of payment.
- The Response Code is a non-editable field and will display the message from Givex, including the balance details.
- Close the transaction as usual.
