Ascend Cloud - Create a Quote

Create a Quote

  1. From the Home Dashboard click Transactions.

  1.  In the Search or Create Transaction screen, select With Customer or Without Customer

Ascend Cloud lets you start and save a quote without associating a customer, but it's best practice to ALWAYS have a customer associated with a quote.

If you select a customer with open transactions, you'll be directed to the Customer Transactions screen. To create a new transaction for the selected customer, click New Transaction or open the existing transaction.

  1. In the transaction screen, you can scan any products you want to include in the Quote using: your device camera, barcode scanner, or if an item can't be scanned, use the Search Products box to find it.

  1. As you add products, you can see the Total for the items.
    1. Note: At this time, Total w/o Tax and Balance w/o Tax do not include Tax or Shipping.

Save a Quote

Once the Quote is complete, make sure the auto save (next to the user profile dropdown) shows a GREEN checkmark.

Note: Ascend Cloud has an auto save feature that saves every three seconds. 

Click the Ascend logo in the top lefthand corner to return to the Home dashboard.

Covert Quote to Sale

Currently, converting a Quote to a Sale must be done through the Ascend RMS Client. For details, check out our article, Sales - Create a Quote.

Open a Saved Quote

You can update or edit an open Quote from Ascend Cloud > Customer Transactions. To learn more about navigating Customer Transactions Views, check out our article, Ascend Cloud - Navigating the Customer Transactions View.

Note: You cannot take payment or convert a Quote to Sale from Ascend Cloud at this time.

Accessing a Quote on Multiple Devices / Browsers

You can load the same Quote on two different devices, browser windows, or browser tabs simultaneously. However, avoid making different edits on the same transaction in two places at the same time, as this may lead to unpredictable saved transaction outcomes. 

If you create or edit a transaction and open it on another device within two minutes, you'll receive a warning indicating another user has recently modified the transaction.
